To the Editor

We, Human Rights Advocates advocating for JUSTICE based on the United Nations Charter and International Law, affirm the international community that the “The True Facts” will at the end prevail because these “Real Facts” as the Turkish Leadership sees them with the latest statements made by the Turkish MP Mr. Erdogan and the Turkish FM are based on imposed Realities of Turkish justice which is based on Turkish military power.

These Turkish “Real Facts” violate the Sovereignty and the Independence of the Cypriot Republic, the UNSC adopted resolutions on Cyprus, the European Union Law and the Republic’s Exclusive Economic Zone Rights. Also slow dawn the Talks of the two community leaders’ on the reunification of Cyprus that are taking place under the UN supervision.

REAL FACT (1), Turkey is in Cyprus protecting the Turkish Cypriots and signed a continental shelf agreement with the breakaway TRNC to Drill in Cyprus’s EEZ.

TRUE FACTS based on the UN Charter and UN resolutions, International Law and the EEZ Rights are:

a) UN General Assembly resolution 3212 of 1974 and other Security Counsel resolutions state that the Turkish military is for 37 years now illegally occupying part of the Republic of Cyprus a Sovereign country and full member of the U.N.

b) Since 1983 Turkey is supporting the illegal TRNC, illegal as per adopted UN SCR 541 & 550 and not recognized by any other Country except Turkey.

c) The European Court of Justice, found Turkey guilty in cases against Greek Cypriots.

d) The Republic of Cyprus singed in 1982 the EEZ agreement and Turkey DID NOT signed it. The Republic of Cyprus also signed agreements with Countries such as Israel, Egypt and Lebanon.

(Real Fact 2), There are NO illegal Turkish settlers in Cyprus they are Turks from Turkey. THE TRUE FACT is that these illegal settlers enter through the occupied part of the Republic of Cyprus, the Turkish occupation troops for over 35 years now assist them to enter, allows them to take over and leave in homes and properties of legal citizens of the Republic of Cyprus.

(Real Fact 3), Turkey will never leave the Turkish Cypriots and EU membership of “Greek Cyprus” is not just and fair

THE TRUE FACT is that the Turkish invasion and occupation forcers are illegal and the EU and the UN do not know of a ”Greek Cyprus Country”, both know and recognize only the Republic of Cyprus as the Member State of the EU and the UN that includes the occupied part.

Finally, as Human Rights Advocates and oversees Cypriots, most of us United States citizens of this multi-ethnic multi-religious and multi-race country similar to Cyprus expect from our Leaders to PRACTICE JUSTICE based on the TRUE FACTS on these Turkish threats. We expect that the United States will use the “TRUE FACTS” based on the Exclusive Economic Zone agreements and the UN adopted resolutions as one of the Permanent members of the UN Security Counsel and leader of NATO to stop this Turkish threats.
