The recording of legal, technical and other details about real estate properties and the rights on them continues by the Hellenic Cadastre, a unified and constantly updated system of information, aimed at creating a modern, fully automated real estate property record, whose details are of an evidentiary nature, ensuring the best publicity and security of transactions.
Ktimatologio S.A. President & Managing Director Dimitris Kaloudiotis (the Hellenic Cadastre company) issued a special call to all Greeks living in Greece and abroad to participate in the Suspension Program launched for the year 2013, encompassing 26 areas throughout the country and titled “Verifying, Confirming, Correcting”.
The Suspension of cadastral data is one of the most important phases of the cadastral registration procedure, since during this phase the results of the recording of the properties declared during the first phase of the cadastral registration procedure, and its subsequent processing by lawyers and surveyors, are made public.
This procedure ensures observance of the principle of publicity, namely, the right of each citizen to be informed about the official cadastral data thus enabling each citizen to verify, confirm and correct any errors. Also, the Suspension Period provides an opportunity to those who have not yet submitted a Declaration to visit the Cadastral Office and declare their title/right.
