Montreal, CA.- The Member of the National Assembly for Laurier-Dorion and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health and Social services, Mr. Gerry Sklavounos, was selected by the Greek America Foundation as one of North America’s Top 40 Greek Leaders under 40 years of age.
The Greek America Foundation recognizes young Greek scientists, businesspeople, politicians, researchers, among others and promotes their successes by means of the Greek America Magazine whose readership is over 250 000. The top 40 young Greek leaders were chosen from among more than three hundred candidates.
“As a provincial parliamentarian of Hellenic origin, I consider this distinction as an honour not only to me but to the entire Greek community of Montreal which I have the honour of representing in the National Assembly of Québec,” declared Mr. Sklavounos.
The award ceremony will take place in Chicago, on June 12, 2010 and Mr. Sklavounos has confirmed his attendance for the occasion.
