I was living in Greece when the Turks walked into Cyprus and the British looked the other way. I was ashamed then of being British and I am once again ashamed that the British cannot stand up for a country which they are supposedly protectors of. Turkey STOLE half the island, the murdered many and forced the rest to flee leaving their hard won and worked for enterprises to rot in Turkish non-management. It is a shambles and a disgrace to the political community that after 38 long years highly paid supposedly highly intelligent leaders have failed to put Turkey back where it belongs.
Now they tickle the Turks fancy to use the country as a staging ground for IS retaliation and containment (not that it will ever ever contain this plague), and so the crafty Turks pop over to the Cypriot sea zones and start looking for oil and gas to exploit. It is not just the diabolical manner which the British have behaved (and yes I am 100% British) but also those members in UN and the EEC who take fat salaries and provide nothing except jobs for the boy (and girls). Greece can’t help – they had all their money taken by the Germans who never repaid the 600 billion reptriation after the WW2 claiming it was only a verbal agreement – another disgrace. So now we will see another country being walked all over yet again for the masters who like to wage war and sell arms and killing machines. What’s the saying? Life’s a bitch and then you die??? yea right
