Aiming at creating a platform for dialogue and communication as well as exploring the long-term significance of establishing a safe, secure and prosperous region, a conference is organized by the Delphi Economic Forum and the Greek daily newspaper Kathimerini, which celebrates its 100th anniversary, in association with the Hellenic American Leadership Council, entitled “Southeast Europe & East Med: New strategies, New perspectives”.
The conference will take place in Washington, Monday and Tuesday, November 18 & 19, 2019 and is bringing together U.S. and Greek government officials, eminent scholars, academic luminaries and business leaders to explore the long-term significance of establishing a safe, secure and prosperous region in the East Med and strengthening ties between the USA, Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. Among the participants are: Foreign Minister of Cyprus Nicos Christodoulides, Minister of Development of Greece Adonis Georgiades, Minister of Tourism Haris Theoharis, Alternate Minister for Migration George Koumoutsakos, Deputy Foreign Mnisters Gragogiannis and Diamataris, US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross and Assistant Secretary of State Francis Fannon.
Delphi Economic Forum is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization engaging business, political, academic, and other top experts in an effort to address emerging challenges, influence the national and regional agendas and promote sustainable and socially responsible growth policies for Greece, South East Europe and the wider Eastern Mediterranean region.
