Athens.- Prime Minister Antonis Samaras held a 15-minute telephone conversation with Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan on Friday evening. The Turkish prime minister wished all the best to the Greek prime minister, while both sides stressed the need for close cooperation between the two countries in many sectors.
The communication took place in a very good climate and the reactivation of the High Level Cooperation Council was decided.
Former prime minister George Papandreou on Friday spoke by phone with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, wishing him a speedy recovery. Samaras was hospitalised on Friday to repair a partial retina detachment in this left eye.
