Nicosia.- Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and Bank of Cyprus (BoC) top officials had a meeting on Friday, to discuss a possible timetable for the return of the lender’s securities to the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
In statements after the meeting, BoC President Christis Hassapis said that no decisions were made during the meeting, saying this was a regular meeting to discuss ongoing operations.
Asked when the Bank’s annual financial results will be ready, he pointed out that they will be ready in February.
On her part CySEC President Demetra Kalogirou said that the bank provided the Commission with information which will be evaluated. She added that CySEC will expect in writing from the BoC details of what was said during the meeting.
During the meeting discussions focused also on the bank’s restructuring plan and its announcements to investors.
