I wholeheartedly congratulate the President of the Cyprus Republic, His Excellency Tassos Papadopoulos, for taking the stance he took on the Annan plan, a stance worhty of praise and which in the long term will serve the interests of all Cypriots.

Our ancestors kept an alien ideology from coming to Europe. Thus The Hellenic Civilization blossomed and spread throughout the world. President Papadopoulos action will or may do the same for “Modern Day Europe” and preserve our Western Civilization as we know it.

Ι congratulate and support the rejection of the Annan Plan by the President of Cyprus. It is a historic triumph for Cyprus and its acknowledgement of its roots/history in Hellenism despite what pressures and criticism it may bring in the short term. President Papadopoulos has affirmed the commitment of Cyprus to international peace, stability, and world order. It is in the interest of the international community for Cyprus to be settled on the bases of morality, human rights, and international law.
If Turkish aggression is legitimized in Cyprus, other potential aggressors will learn that expansionism at the expense of smaller nations pays.
The stance of President Papadopoulos is one that is intended to benefit all Cypriots, Greek and Turkish alike. In the free and independent Cyprus that the President supports, all citizens regardless of ethnicity or religion will be guaranteed basic human rights.
Thank you for your courage.
Sincerely, Pamela Chionis

Mr. President:

I have watched Prsesident Papadopoulos speech on television and have subsequently read a text of his speech in Greek and an English translation of it. It is clear that his request for the rejection of the Annan Plan is the only correct choice for the good of the Cypriot people and for the Republic of Cyprus.
I commend him for his courageous position which places only the interests of the Cypriot people of all backgrounds in the foreground. In the days ahead when the Republic of Cyprus becomes part of the EU, the opportunity will exist for the President to develop and implement a Just Plan for proper reunification and long lasting peace in Cyprus. I have great confidence on him that this will be accomplished.
Sincerely,
Bill Gatzoulis

ABOUT THE ANNAN PLAN
Συμφωνώ με το ΟΧΙ του προέδρου της Κύπρου γιατί η αποδοχή του σχεδίου θα ήταν καταστροφική για την Κύπρο, την Ελλάδα και την Ευρώπη.

Dear Sir
The plan is dysfunctional, dangerous and undermines the tenets and the founding principles of the EU. Such a plan cannot and should not be considered as a solution to the
reconcilement of Cyprus. Derogations to EU laws have been enshrined into
the Annan Plan that violate and undermine the EU founding statements and
constitution. We appeal to the EU and its instruments to rebuff all US, UN and British
efforts aimed at undermining its functionality, its aspirations and
security through the Annan Plan and through future consideration of
Turkish membership.
Respectfully:

Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Annan Plan is a dictatorial, Nazi style ultimatum, a divisive instrument, an inhumane, undemocratic, piece of paper, which seek to enslave for ever the majority of the Cyprus population, who happen to be Greek. It is an attempt by the Big Two and Mr. Annan, to appease Turkey, at any cost, at the expense of the Greek Cypriots and the American Taxpayer.
The Plan is a violation of the United Nations Charter, and an intrusion and violation of the Rules and Regulations of the European Union.
Thank You,
